COACHES

A coach is one of the most influential people in a young person's life. Coaches don't just teach how to play handball but how to win and lose graciously. The athletic skills young people learn from coaches may only apply for a few years, but the attitudes they develop toward themselves and others will last a lifetime.

ATHF Coach Requirements

Safe Sport Training promotes physical, psychological, and social health, and meets Sport Canada requirements for Safe Sport education. The safe sport module is a FREE, 90-minute eLearning module that gives all participants the tools to recognize, address, and prevent maltreatment in sport. You will need a Locker account and NCCP number to access this module. If you have never taken an NCCP course and need a NCCP number, you can create a free account in the Locker.

WANT TO VOLUNTEER?

Do you want to do more to support you or your child's team? Come join our team as a volunteer to help with essential tasks of coordinating and scorekeeping. Your dedication and reliability will ensure our league runs smoothly, allowing players to focus on the game. Join us in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our handball community.

ATHF is primarily a volunteer-run organization, if it wasn’t for the hard work of our volunteer board members, club officials and parents the program would not exist. There are many ways to give back to the program, from board positions to coaching opportunities to fundraising and events.

Email/reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator: volunteer@albertateamhandball.com to find out more about our next volunteer opportunities!

BECOME A SPONSOR

Sponsorship Program

Sponsors play a key role in helping our organization reduce player fees by sponsoring individual teams and or the entire federation. The Alberta Team Handball hosts numerous tournaments throughout the year. These tournaments display the sport at its best and are a perfect way to reach out to the numerous handball players and spectators.

Why We Need Your Support

Alberta Team Handball is fortunate to have many great corporate and community partners that help players, coaches, and our entire handball family. Although the organization is mainly run by volunteers and is a not-for-profit organization we have many operating expenses. Your sponsorship helps us keep our registration fees affordable by helping to defray the cost of:

  • Team uniforms and equipment
  • Field rental and maintenance fees
  • Referees
  • Travel Costs
  • Coaches

How To Become A Sponsor

We have many opportunities to sponsor the club throughout the year. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor please email our director of fundraising and sponsorship Audrey Kotelniski at fundraising@albertateamhandball.com
